Don't worry, there is nothing wrong with your Honda. To reset your TPMS you must have your ignition on, your handbrake applied, and go through the menu on your dashboard through the steering wheel buttons until two squares appear then select that icon then find your TPMS symbol and reset from there through the steering wheel buttons. or through your infotainment system on newer models.
Most car brands use Tyre Pressure Monitoring Sensors (TPMS) in each individual tyre valve. But when it comes to Honda and other Manufacturers out there the add software to their Anti Lock Braking System (ABS) control module to measure the diameter of each tyre size and monitor their speeds at all times.
The main disadvantage to this design is it causes the system to be very sensitive to changes in tyre size. Even more than 3mm in difference is enough to cause this issue!
If you have one tyre changed on one side of your vehicle it causes the vehicle to see a difference in wheel speed and causes the system to think you have a puncture.
The only way around this is to change both tyres on the same axle (both front or rear)

This is a common problem with 4x4 Honda CR-Vs
Give us a phone on 0131 553 7552 and we can get you in for a check over the Diff and find the fault quickly
We come across this fault alot, don't worry your car isn't on fire.
We found is a manufacturer's fault in the EGR pipe. There's a weak point in the metal that seems to split in the same place all the time. Which in turn lets exhaust gases escape and through your air vents and into your cabin.
Give us a phone on 0131 553 7552 and we will fit you in and have this fixed for you
It's not always the case but what we have come across on many Diesel Hondas now From the Mk3 CR-V to the Mk 8 & 9 Civic Diesel to the Diesel HR-V.
Give us a phone on 0131 553 7552 and we can find the fault for you quickly
We are coming across more similar electrical issues with the new HR-V at the moment.
This is caused by the Handbrake switch sometimes when liquid has been spilt over the switch or just by chance it pull the handbrake on and off randomly. Don't panic if its on if you hit the switch enough times the brakes will release

Yes. We are finding a lot of corrosion is building up on the MK3 CR-Vs and more so the MK2 CR-Vs due to their age and Scottish roads using salt on the roads
The corrosion seems to be most commonly around both rear wheel arches and in other scenarios its traveled into the the rear chassis leg. When Honda first made them they seem to have not put any protective coating in those areas in the wheel arch. If its at that stage you can put your hand up just behind the wheel arch trim and push on the metal, a lot of the time your hand will go through or at the very least you'll fell how 'soft' the metal is
We have seen recently in worst case scenarios that the corrosion can create holes in the front subframe on the drivers side as well.
When you take your CR-V in for service or a check over with us we always make sure to check and report back our findings to you so we can make a plan for repair with you.
